Angelo Cangelosi, Prof

University of Manchester & Alan Turing Institute

Professor of Machine Learning and Robotics at the University of Manchester and the founder of the Center for Robotics and AI. He is also a Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute. Cangelosi has authored more than 500 scientific publications, shaping a generation of students and researchers.

Mentor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an adjunct instructor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Obtained an MBA at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, after graduating from the University of Toronto with a Master in Architecture.

Computational biologist and engineer working on synthetic biology. He held research roles at ETH Zurich and Harvard University, and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. He is the CEO of bioERGOtech and contributed to the World Economic Forum’s AI Council.

Researcher affiliated with the University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD in Machine Learning from University College London, has collaborated with the Alan Turing Institute, and previously worked as a data scientist at easyJet and as a consultant at GSK.

Riccardo Polvara, Prof.

University of Lincoln & IEEE Co-Chair

Assistant Professor of Robotics and Autonomous Systems at the University of Lincoln and Co-Chair of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. He has led international projects in collaboration with TU Delft, ETH Zurich, and the University of Bonn, specializing in the fusion of drone and ground-based mapping.
