Engineering at Sapiente

Explore how engineering turns ideas into solutions

Explore how engineers design machines, structures and technologies with expert mentors. Connect mathematics and science with practical challenges through modelling, simulation and independent research tailored to your interests.

Apply for the next cohort

Understand how things work and how to improve them

Engineering brings mathematics, science and creative thinking together to solve practical problems. Explore how engineers balance performance, safety, cost and environmental impact, from machines and electronic systems to structures, energy technologies and medical devices.

Develop engineering ideas through your own research

Through personalised mentorship, you can explore different branches of engineering or focus on the area that interests you most. Investigate a question through calculations, simulations or published evidence, learning to test assumptions and explain the trade-offs behind a design.

Topics We Cover

Topics students can study in Engineering

01

Mechanical Engineering

Explore forces, motion, heat and fluid flow in machines and mechanical systems. Use calculations and introductory simulations to investigate how designs behave and where performance can improve.

02

Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Study circuits, sensors, signals and control systems. Explore how electronic components work together, using circuit models and simulations to investigate energy use, measurement and automation.

03

Civil and Structural Engineering

Examine how bridges, buildings and infrastructure carry loads and respond to their surroundings. Compare structural forms and materials, considering stability, resilience and the needs of communities.

04

Materials and Manufacturing

Investigate how the properties of metals, polymers, ceramics and composites influence design. Compare manufacturing methods and explore trade-offs between strength, weight, durability, cost and environmental impact.

05

Energy and Environmental Engineering

Explore renewable energy, energy storage, water treatment and resource efficiency. Use published data and simple models to compare technologies and evaluate their performance in different settings.

06

Biomedical Engineering

Discover how engineering supports healthcare through medical devices, prosthetics, biomechanics and imaging. Investigate design challenges through case studies and models, considering human needs, safety and accessibility.

Research & Publication

How to Study Engineering at Sapiente?

Sapiente’s one-to-one Research & Publication programmes help you compare designs, analyse published data or investigate an engineering question through simulation. Work with an expert mentor in your chosen area, developing your ideas into an academic paper and preparing for submission where appropriate.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers for students and families considering a Sapiente programme.

What is Sapiente Education?

Sapiente Education provides online academic mentoring programmes for teenagers and young adults. Students work with experienced academics, researchers, and professionals from leading universities and organisations. Our programmes are designed around each student's interests, academic level, and goals.

How does the admissions process work?

First, the student submits an online application. Our Admissions Team reviews the application and may ask some follow-up questions. If the student is accepted, we confirm the most suitable programme, complete the enrolment, match the student with a mentor, and agree on a start date.

Can we have a consultation before applying?

Yes. You can speak with our Admissions Team before applying if you would like to discuss the student's goals or understand which programme may be suitable. There is no charge for the consultation.

What if my child has exams or a particularly busy school period?

Let us know as early as possible. For Scholar and Mastery, there is usually flexibility to adjust the pace around exams, holidays, or other important commitments. Intensive programmes have less flexibility because they are completed over two weeks.

I am a parent and I do not speak English. Can we still have a consultation?

Yes. We can communicate through email or WhatsApp and use translation tools when necessary. The important thing is that we can clearly understand the student's background, goals, and requirements.

How can I pay for a programme?

Payments can be made securely through Stripe or by bank transfer upon request. Before making a payment, you will receive the programme price, currency, and any applicable taxes.
